Beach Bums

Our week at the beach . . .

was a fun time for our little family. 

It was so nice having Travis off of work and being able to enjoy some lazy days in the sun together.

Even though Lucy Mills has been several times before, this summer was the first time she could enjoy walking the shores. 

What a big world there is out there for this little girl to take in. 

This was McClain's first time experiencing the beach. 

He loved every minute of it.  And every bite of sand he could cram in his mouth.

A couple of mornings last week Lucy Mills and I would sneak out to the beach just as the sun was rising.  The early morning light was perfect for capturing some shots of my almost two year old. 

 She wanted to swim so bad, so we ditched the dress.

And Daddy took her in for an early morning dip. 

Where was McClain during all of this? Doing his usual . . .

She definitely got her exercise running up and down the beach.

He loved the ocean, just not the big waves. 

But Mommy was close by to get that smile to come out again. 

Do you know how hard it is to get a brother/sister picture from two babies under two? Very! Lucy Mills was not interested . . .

so she found some big boys to chase after who seemed a lot more appealing. 

Once I reigned her in from the fellas, I tried again for more pictures of her and McClain together.  Fail.  
These are the best of the bunch and I still think they look sweet together, even if I can't get simultaneous smiles.
