My 9 Month Old (that is almost 10 months now)

McClain Mason, you are more precious than words can describe.
You are at such a fun stage - interacting with us more, laughing all the time, trying to keep up with your sister in everything she does, and of course smiling for the camera every time.
You adore Lucy Mills, cheerios, your paci, Daddy's guitar, baths, any and all baby food, pretty ladies that look your way, cramming things in your mouth, and of course - my favorite - when Mommy holds and cuddles you.
If you look up "dream baby" in the dictionary, McClain, your name would be listed.
You continue to be such an easy going and happy guy.  You love us and we love you Super Bud.
I thank God everyday for allowing me to be your mom.

Daddy's Home!

Most evenings you can find these two babies right here.  Waiting.
Waiting for their super-cool Daddy to pull into the drive and dance his way up to the door.
There are shrieks, laughter, little voices calling "dada, dada home," and lots of banging on the window.
Followed by kisses through the glass to one another.
We sure do love our Daddy and are thankful that he works so hard for us.

The Random Little Things that Fill Our Days

Of course there is an abundance of guitar playing in our house.
And this summer, our sweet girl has found a new hobby in doing pedicures with Mommy.
Little brother can always be found tagging along in whatever sister is doing.
Sometimes Lucy Mills leaves her juice cup behind, equalling jackpot for McClain.
One of our favorite activities post birthday is cooking in our little kitchen.  {Thank you Suggie!!}  In the mornings Lucy Mills darts straight to her kitchen to make Mommy some coffee.  Apparently the pajama top is optional?
Tucker came to stay with us one weekend and my children never left his side.
Sweet dog = fantastic babysitter.
Look at my big man sitting in the high chair to eat!!!!
I moved our playroom table to the kitchen so that Lucy Mills and McClain could sit together at mealtimes.  This is one of my favorite times of the day because they end up laughing and interacting together.  Such a joy.

A Birthday Visit

We loved our recent visit with Grandmother and Grandaddy during Lucy Mills' birthday.
The children love having their grandparents undivided attention.
My two are spoiled with love.
But I can't think of anything better to spoil them with.

A Birthday Fit for a Princess

Our sweet Lucy Mills turned 2 in August and we celebrated with a Princess themed birthday bash.
As her little friends arrived, Princess coloring books and markers awaited them.  As well as bracelets, crowns, and wands.
Amongst the maidens there were a few crowned Princes partaking in the birthday fun.
Lucy Mills greeted Prince William {hehe} with a hug and kiss.
Princesses Callie and Isabel were just as sweet as sugar.
Aunt Tutu brought the cutest party decorations.
I am trying to talk her into a new career path - Aunt Tutu's Party Planning. Can you see it?
She supervised the game Pin the Lips on the Frog. ( Much cuter than the tail on the donkey, yes? )
Before I passed out the stickers, Lucy Mills thought she had to pin her actual lips on the frog.
Then she was so proud of herself for getting the lips on the frog.
Miss Mason gave the game her best shot too.
Now the girls are just waiting for their real frog prince to arrive.
After the game, the children were eyeing the cake so we sang Happy Birthday to our princess and dove into the pink, sugary sweetness.
But first Daddy offered up a prayer of thankfulness for the life of our Lucy Mills.
The birthday girl couldn't get enough cake and ice cream.
Or enough of her boyfriend William.
The night before the party, Travis and I put together a pink castle tent.  I think Daddy had as much fun playing in it as the kiddos.
After the party-goers left, we let Lucy Mills open some presents from family.
What a lucky little princess to get such nice gifts.
Thank you to all of our friends and family that came to celebrate our sweet girl's special day.  Lucy Mills, you have brought so much joy to all of our lives these past two years. How irreplaceable you are my love.
