Updated Pictures from My Phone

Our Friday evening tradition has happily become pizza, movie, and sleeping bag night around our house. The kids look forward to this every week and McClain even came up with a song for his favorite night of the week. "It's Friday night, whoop whoop! And I'm feeling right, whoop whoop!" Our neighbors have even copied McClain's little jingle.

Grandmother and Grandaddy were so kind to send McClain his birthday presents. Both children are obsessed with Disney's "Jake of Neverland Pirates," and McClain was elated to receive Jake and his pirate ship! Actually all three of them have enjoyed the pirate ship.

The day after McClain's 3rd birthday party he was wiped out. He fell asleep at the lunch table on his plate! That has never happened to either child! I scooped him up and snuggled him for over an hour, totally aware that that sweet boy is growing up and a nap in my arms may never happen again.

Love every inch of my baby!

Along with McClain's birthday presents, Grandmother and Grandaddy didn't want Lucy Mills to feel left out. They kindly sent her a bracelet making kit which has occupied her for hours!

McClain's birthday fell on a Tuesday this year. I took cupcakes to his preschool class, and later that evening the four of us went to see the lights at the zoo. Here he is seeing the "snow" fall.

The Christmas lights at the zoo, along with multiple cups of hot chocolate made for a fun birthday treat for our three year old.

I thought the terrible two's were behind us, no?

McClain's best bud at school Jack, had his birthday party a week later. We had a ball at Monkey Joe's with these silly fellas.

Later that night a nearby church hosted "A Night in Bethlehem." It's a drive through nativity where you experience what life was like in Bethlehem when Jesus was born, all from the comfort of your car (and in your pjs!). We saw chickens, goats, and camels right up close!

Our sweet Aunt Marian still sacrifices her time and attention to love on these two kiddos so Travis and I can get out together for a date. She has made bath time a fun ritual and brought Lucy Mills and McClain all sorts of bubble bath, foam soaps, tub markers and paint! We are so thankful for her!

Aunt Marian also joined us one morning for an Edventure trip.

The kids were jumping up and down when she got there. McClain loved showing her the construction zone.

Such a fun time showing her their favorite spots around the museum.

The Monday before Christmas was freezing and rainy. We had a long car ride ahead of us and I wanted the children to get some energy out before we hit the road. They took turns jogging on the treadmill and thought it was a super fun game. (I wish I felt the same way when I was on it!) They laughed and got those little legs moving before being strapped in a car seat for several hours.

Apparently it worked like a charm.

Christmas was so fun at Daniel and Rachel's house. The kids were thrilled to get their "piano."

They have played it everyday since.

When Christmas was over and we were heading home from Durham, we had a slight detour to do some shopping.

A wife of Travis' Air Force Academy roommate sent me two books by my favorite author, Sally Clarkson! Kim made my Christmas by having her FRIEND, Sally, sign and write encouraging messages in her books. What treasures!

We love a good trip to the library.

And we sit like this for hours when we get home from our library jaunts.

Every dinosaur needs a good teeth brushing right?

These sweet fingers have learned to play"Twinkle,Twinkle"and "Mary Had a Little Lamb."

One of Lucy Mills' classmates lives in our neighborhood. Zuri's mom called asking if she could come down to play one afternoon. Lucy Mills skipped the whole way to Zuri's. This was the first time I have dropped her off (and not stayed) for a play date. She felt like such a big girl.

Meanwhile McClain cried the whole way because he wanted to stay with the girls.

So the next day McClain got to play at the playground with his preschool friend Bryce. They are racing their trains down the slide here.

                                                        Love this and love them.

I just got home from a girls beach trip to Myrtle Beach. Such a sweet time with precious ladies and, yes we hit this place up hard. Mamas get wild and crazy when they are away from home!

Get your motor runnin'

Princess play date with Taylor.

            Lunch with PopPop at Zoe's

While I was at the beach Travis took the children to see their first movie at the theater. They loved "Frozen" and are obsessed with watching the songs and clips I can find online.

All caught up for now!
