The End of Preschool and LM's Graduation

Just as quickly as it started, Lucy Mills is finished with preschool.  I can not say enough good things about our experience these past two years.  The friends, the teachers, the way she has engaged in a love for learning, all of it has been a blessing.  

These two melt my heart every.single.time.

And the star of our show just spotted us and she looks pretty pleased.

As I was helping get Lucy Mills dressed that evening I specifically asked her to 1. Sit like a lady on stage and 2. do NOT suck her thumb...both of those pearls of wisdom went in one ear and out the other that night.

That night the children performed several songs and even a dance or two.  Lucy Mills was a part of the group that did the "Pizza Hut" song.  (The teachers assured us that they are not promoting fast food, but rather word recognition...ok.  Well after the song was over my 3 year old looked up at me and said "Mama, I really like 5Guys.  Can we go to 5Guys?").  

Girlfriend held that Arby's sign up every time without missing a beat. 

When the songs and performances were over, each child was called by name across stage to receive a preschool diploma along with teacher hugs. 

And just like that, her preschool chapter is finished and a new beginning awaits.

We are so proud of how far Lucy Mills has come since she began preschool this year.  She has learned to write her name, recognize and spell the alphabet, recognize sight words and the list goes on and on.  

Looks like he is pretty proud of his Sis too. 

Hooray! School is out for summer! 

This was the one and only year that Lucy Mills and McClain would be at preschool together.  They have loved going three days a week and have been members of two amazing classes.  We have met sweet friends who we will be in our lives in the years ahead as well. 

Last day of the Two's class and last day of the Four's.

After the children enjoyed their last day of school, Travis and I picked them up, car packed to the brim, and we headed to the beach to get our summer started off the right way.
