Not For the Camera!

Lucy Mills is smiling all the time now. Awake, asleep, even when she gets irritable she will give a little smile. I have the hardest time getting a pictures of it though! The minute I put the camera in her face she starts studying it, I guess intrigued by another new object to discover. She especially gets a curious look when the flash goes off. I have to almost surprise her with the camera while she is already smiling to get a shot of it. The minute I try to stage a cute picture, all smiles are off. Oh well, she is cute either way!

Mommy and sweet little punky..

"hi Mom!"

Lucy Mills' Grandmother and Papa T gave her the greatest gift, I call it a snugglie coat, not to be confused the the snuggie advertised on tv :). It is a soft fleece hooded and footed wrap. It's the perfect combination of a blanket and a warm coat which is perfect for a growing baby.

Those of you that know me well know that I am a walker. I love to walk outside, especially on pretty, blue sky days, for miles and miles. This fall Lucy Mills has been my walking companion. Late Friday afternoon I pulled out her snugglie coat for the first time, wrapped her tightly in it, and we went for a walk. She was wide awake when we left but quickly fell fast asleep in her stroller. She must have been pretty warm and content.

Look at those long lashes! The first thing the nurses said when Lucy Mills was born was "look at her eye lashes!" And let me tell you she has batted them everyday since. I wish I could say she gets them from me but Travis is the one with the beautiful lashes.

Grandmother Judy knows how us Mason girls love monograms!
I will try to get more pictures of her smiling soon!
