Well since losing our beloved Mae Mae, we lasted a very long, lonely ten days before we welcomed Max Mason into our home.
I searched high and low and finally found a breeder in NC that had a male, three month old apricot poodle who was ready for a home.
Travis graciously agreed to let us go "look" at him on Friday, St. Patrick's Day in fact.
Well all four of us were smitten at first sight at this adorable puppy.
McClain instantly looked at me and said "Mama, this is our puppy."
We tossed around dozens of names for him but could not 100% agree on one. Finally Travis asked me what name would be a tribute to Maggie. I knew what it was...Max.
I found this drawing on Lucy Mills' desk soon after we brought Max home.
We love our little rascal. He even helps the kids with their school work.
And when he tires out he curls up in mama's lap to snooze.
Where's Max??
Remember this scene from E.T.? Lucy Mills thought he fit right in with her stuffed animals.
Max Max has brought so much love and excitement to our family and we are thankful.
