From Snow to 67' & Sunny

After all the snow melted we got a tease of springtime temperatures this weekend. At the beginning of the week Papa Jack (my dad) came by to visit and I have to say it was my favorite time he has had with Lucy Mills. She tends to be clingy with me sometimes, but this week they played for a long time and she was as happy as could be!

I am addicted to being outdoors when the weather is this nice. If it stays sunny I figured Punky would need her own pair of pink shades!

We went to the Riverfront Park to walk today and I saw more people smile, giggle, and point at my stroller...

I wasn't sure if it was because my baby had pink sunglasses or my puppy dog was hitching a ride on the front of the stroller! I guess they are both pretty darn cute!

Along with the rest of the southeast, we enjoyed a beautiful snow fall Friday night into Saturday morning. It made for a memorable Valentine's weekend.

A Busy Girl

She keeps herself busy reading

She makes sure she gets her beauty sleep and is in a good mood.

She sticks her tongue out and makes funny sounds.

She schedules girl time with her best friends

She is always up for trying new things

I tell ya being cute is a full time job!

5 Months Old!

Another month has come and gone and Lucy Mills turned 5 months old! Last week was special because she turned 5 months on Wednesday and I turned (gulp) 29 on Thursday. I LOVE birthdays but lets just say that this one was unlike any others.

Along with birthdays in January come colds, sore throats, and flu like symptoms. Wednesday and Thursday I was up all night (and day) with a sick baby who had RSV, AND a sick husband who had a stomach bug. Happy Birthday to me! Thankfully Lucy Mills' RSV did not spread into her chest and her ears stayed clear - praise the Lord! I have had friends whose babies had the same virus and their cases were much worse. But my poor Lucy Mills was pretty pitiful since this was her first time being sick.

Well I am happy to report that both Masons are back up and operating at 100% again. Once Lucy Mills was feeling better I had to document her ever changing monthly picture.

Pants on the Ground!

This is for all of you American Idol fans out there. The new season has started and the first few weeks show the auditions of some very talented singers. However, on the other end of the spectrum there are some brave souls lacking vocal skills, but hoping for their time in the spotlight. I bet most of you have heard of the now infamous song "Pants on the Ground."

The tune was made up by an older gentleman, General Larry Platt, who was fed up with youngsters sagging their baggy britches below their waistline. It is quite a funny song and I suggest you view it at youtube if you have not seen it by now!

Well Trav and I have caught ourselves several times in the last week singing our own version...
