Lucy Mills enjoyed her first donut (thanks to sweet Mrs. Carrie). Yummmm.
While Lucy Mills was engaged in a sugar high, McClain was introduced to rice cereal. Not quite as yummy as a donut, as you can tell by his helpless expression, but we'll get to the good stuff eventually.
He gagged down a few bites, but this is going to take some getting used to. McClain I promise that more delicious treats await you, but we have to take one thing at a time.
While I love the fact that he is healthy and thriving, I am sad that day by day, we are growing out of the newborn phase.
But you are getting more precious by the minute my brown eyed boy!
Here is your monthly picture. . . looking very stoic I must say.
McClain, you have the best disposition of any baby I have ever seen.
Another new milestone this month - you rolled over for the first time in your sleep. You startled yourself awake because you didn't know how to flip back over.
You still don't like baths, but you love your paci, having your hands kissed, and watching your sister. You are in awe of her.
Thank you for putting up with my endless photo shoots buddy. I just want to capture every stage so that one day, when you are all grown up and taller than me, I can remember the days we shared when you were just itty bitty.
For almost a year now Lucy Mills and I have enjoyed attending a weekly story time at our local library.
My little book worm loves to hear the stories each week and then look at some new books. During the class we also sing songs, play with puppets, and participate with instruments. It's a great activity for these little ones!
The children are supposed to sit in their mother's laps during the class, but my Lucy Mills would rather be front and center to make sure she doesn't miss out on anything!
Lately, McClain has been enjoying story time too.
Lucy Mills' boyfriend, William, is also in our class. Isn't he a cutie?
{His mommy Leah and I were pregnant at the same time with these two. Ever since they were in our bellies we declared them boyfriend & girlfriend. William even gave Lucy Mills her first kiss. . . we are going to have to keep our eyes on these two!}
When she is not front and center in the class, she does sit down and listen to the story. Well at least most of it.
Sometimes she gets a little tired.
But as soon as Mrs. Patti brings out the basket of books,
Married to my best friend who is the love of my life, mom to the most precious little girl and a sweet baby boy, (oh, and one cute little pup too). Blessed with amazing family and friends, and learning more about the Lord and who He has called me to be. This blog is my attempt to scrapbook our family's memories. These are my love letters to my children who are the joy of my life.
